In 2014, First Baptist Church, Columbia, SC renovated its 34,000 sq. ft. education building. This building has served the church as education and administrative offices since it was originally constructed in 1938. Challenges to the design included incorporating existing ductwork into the design.
New Kirk Presbyterian
Located in Blythewood, SC, this new facility was constructed as phase one of a church campus. Initially used as the primary sanctuary, this building will function as a traditional family life center for the congregation when a larger, more traditional sanctuary is constructed.
1420 Sumter St. (Old YMCA) - First Baptist Columbia
In September, 2017, First Baptist Church, Columbia, SC moved its high school and college student ministries into the rear three floors of the original YMCA facility that had served the city of Columbia since 1911. This first phase of a multi-phase project of the entire seven story facility included renovations to the three story gymnasium that was added to the 1911 structure in 1958. A new entrance was added and floors were cut away to offer dynamic, multi-level views within the space
